The AK-7 Midi Keyboard has no sounds onboard... It connects to your midi software over your wireless network, allowing you to play whatever instruments or samples you like. It requires the free receiver application DSMI Server to be installed on your computer.
It was tested with Garageband and Logic, but should work with most other midi enabled software too.
The receiver app can be downloaded from here and setup guides for OS X, Windows, and Linux can be found there too.
Key velocity is controlled by how far down the key is played. Near the top of the key gives softer notes, near the bottom gives louder.
Octave and transpose selectors enable you to play in any key and at any pitch.
Play with greater expression with the pitch bend and modulation controls.
You can choose the Midi channel used, so that it doesn’t interfere with your current Midi setup. In the demo video we assigned different instruments to each channel. It seemed to work fine!
The velocity boost can be used for offsetting the positional key velocity. Handy for organs etc.
